PRP treatments trigger the body’s natural healing process,
restoring and regenerating damaged tissue more effectively than traditional treatments.

PRP, or Platelet-Rich Plasma, is a game-changing development in the realm of medical treatments. What sets it apart is its powerful ability to speed up healing, using nothing more than your body’s natural mechanisms. PRP is revolutionizing the way we think about healing and recovery by reducing the need for invasive surgeries or synthetic medications.
PRP is autologous, which means it comes from your own body. Therefore, you do not risk any chance of allergic or adverse reactions as well as any harmful side effects. When treating joint issues with PRP, the process begins by drawing a small amount of your own whole-blood. Next, the blood spins in a machine called a centrifuge, which separates your whole-blood into two layers. The bottom layer contains the red blood cells, while the top layer holds the plasma and concentrated platelets. This top layer is the platelet-rich plasma or PRP. The PRP is then injected directly into the damaged joint area. The PRP goes to work immediately, helping to restore the joint, reduce pain, and improve its function over time.
Your blood has four main components: red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma.
Platelets play a crucial role in healing your body. If you’ve ever had a paper cut or scraped your knee, you’ve seen these platelets in action. They are like your body’s first responders, dispatching immediately to the wound site. Once they arrive, they release growth factors which kickstart the healing and tissue regeneration process.
Now, consider PRP as amplifying this response: dispatching a specialized task force enriched with a much higher concentration of these platelets, aimed at a more significant injury or damaged area. With this concentrated aid, the repair and regeneration processes are not only accelerated but also optimized for better outcomes.
As it turns out, the effectiveness of PRP is only as good as your centrifuge. The key to a high concentration of PRP is a high-quality centrifuge. Now, by definition, platelet-rich plasma yields a platelet concentration that’s at least four times that of your regular blood, unfortunately, the average centrifuge typically does not meet this definition. Our state-of-the art centrifuge achieves a concentration of platelets up to 11 times the whole-blood baseline, making it the highest platelet recovery yield on the market.
Now that we’ve covered the basics on the standard PRP process, let’s dive into what makes our PRP process at the Joint Regeneration Clinic so special, and why we like to refer to it as SuperPRP!
In addition to providing a superior platelet-rich plasma with our state-of-the-art centrifuge, we go a step further and add ‘the Super’ to our PRP. We utilize a process which allows us to isolate the exosomes floating around in your plasma and incorporate them into the PRP. The exosomes are scientifically proven to attract your body’s own stem cells to the treatment area within 5 days.
Exosomes play a significant role in amplifying the regenerative potential of PRP therapy. They carry crucial growth factors, cytokines, and other molecules that intensify cell-to-cell communication. What’s great about our PRP process is that it allows us to concentrate as many exosomes as possible into your PRP while remaining completely autologous.
Exosomes work synergistically with platelets, helping them achieve their maximum efficiency. The concentrated platelets in PRP release growth factors that stimulate cellular growth and repair, essentially “calling” stem cells to the injury site. The combined action of PRP and exosomes offers a more robust and coordinated healing response, leading to improved outcomes and more efficient joint regeneration.
Finally, in keeping with our commitment to offering superior treatment for our patients, each SuperPRP treatment is carefully administered with the help of fluoroscopy. This advanced technique offers real-time guidance, enabling a clear visualization of the entire treatment process and greatly reducing the possibility of complications. Under fluoroscopy, we have the ability to continuously monitor the SuperPRP as it progresses towards its target within the joint. This continuous tracking not only guarantees precision in PRP placement but also significantly diminishes the chances of inadvertently harming adjacent tissues. Through this method, we not only improve the safety of the procedure, but also optimize the effectiveness of each SuperPRP injection.
